Another day, another WIP. This mades 3 WIP’s, soon there will be four WIP’s. Thats enough talk about WIP’s.
I have this Work in progress over at the MAC Forums, please visit and make a comment (nice ones of course)
Pictures first:

The arm and shoulder, You can see lots of metal mesh being used. On the front of the shoulder, between the two round things there are rows of metal parts, they are staples that had their legs amputated. A small piece of styrene was glued to the back of them to keep them together. The little holes around the arm are for metal bolts / screws.

Just another angle, you can see more holes for more screws / bolts.

The sex leg, I have left off some armour as I found it a bit plain. Also some alternative armour pieces were used in place of the stock ones.

I plan on attaching some thrusters to the backs of his legs.

The rather large thruster module parts, this kit has two of them and when I am happy with my changes I will attach some rather large metal thrusters to suit the rather large thruster module parts.

The r send of the part, you can hopefully see where I plan on attaching the rather large metal thruster parts.

The upper legs, torso and head so far. A few little changes here and there over the stock version.

A closer shot.

A closer shot from the side..

A distant shot from the side, sensational.
My observations with this kit. First off, I bought this kit second hand, pre built off eBay. So I was fortunate enough to skip the rather lengthy looking build process, I tend to rush through the build part as fast as possible as I much prefer to just modify and paint. This kit is extremely complicated, in that it is transformable, the torso section can come apart to reveal a small fighter plane inside and also the fact that with this being a gundam it is posable. So lots of parts can move and when handling it makes quite the creaky sound.
This is a large kit, I figured it for being similar in size to other large gundams like the Hi-nu gundam, but with all the extra booster add ons. I was wrong, when just standing there with no booster add ons it dwarfs the other kits. Its two shoulders alone are almost larger than the Red Astray. I haven’t actually seen the kit completely built and all together (it was shipped to me in its major components so it would fit into a smaller parcel). But I can only imagine its large size.
Definitely visit the MAC Forums, and make a comment (nice ones of course) or at least check out all the other amazing works there.
More photos soon!
