I’m going to try and work with the armour pieces a little differently, I will trim, test fit and then tidy up / sand the pieces first then do the wash and clean last. That way the pieces are completely clean when I come to paint. I have already washed the inner frame and will give it another quick wash once I have finished test fitting all the armour pieces.
Now I know why people wear masks when working with resin, it makes one hell of a fine particle mess when cutting and drilling. As I don’t have any mask yet, I am using a tea towel to cover my face, sexy

When looking to buy this kit, I struggled to visualise just how tall it was. Once I built the inner frame I new it was definitely going to be a tall kit. After building just the torso and waist (no shoulders yet) I can’t believe just how massive this kit is.

I have many plans running through my head for this kit (mods and paintwork) but I have never worked with something of this size, it will definitely be a challenge to modify it. Also I think I will need more paint, lots more paint.
The main areas I plan to change will be its back pack and fin funnels. Also the paint scheme will hopefully be something not to common on a gundam kit. I also plan on doing a spot of weathering with proper battle damage (something I haven’t done before).
The back pack will be bigger more powerful and the fin funnels will become more symmetrical on its back, rather than to one side. In making the fin funnels symmetrical I plan on making one of the shoulders different to the other, like how the Zakus are. But not spiky.
That is all I have for now, i’m off to bed to dream about my kit.
