Hey guys, long time no post!
I’ll cut right to it. I’ve put my 1/48 on a work stop order for the time being as I really, really want it to be as perfect as my skills would allow and I feel i’m not quite at a level to achieve that. So for the time being I am hitting up another kit (kits really) to assist in my skill levelling up.
Check it out:
Perfect Grade 1/60 Zaku II – Conversion to a (almost) Perfect Grade 1/144 Pycho Gundam.

The above picture is the thigh piece off the Pycho Gundam, I have started cutting out the insides in order to make it fit around the Zaku II frame.

The same piece nearly cleaned out, for such a small piece it takes quite a while to clean it out and there are four of them.

A quick photo of the inner frame. While assembling I left most of the screws off and all of the hydraulics to make it easier with fitting the new armour and for when I’m and the painting stage.

Next up is the lower leg armour.

These leg armour parts didn’t require much work at all to fit nicely over the Zaku II inner frame

The top parts sit the same distance apart on the Zaku II frame as they do on the proper Pycho Gundam frame itself.

You can see the front armour part is attaches properly at the top, but its a little flared at the bottom. I actually don’t mind it being flared a little, i’ll just have to find a way to make it look like it should be flared.
That all so far, I have made more progress since taking these photos so I will be sure to add them soon.
I haven’t updated this yet, but you can check out the entry topic for this build HERE at the Mech Arts Community. Give it a couple of days then I should have updated it.
